Abortion- On September 29, the House passed, by 236-193, the Women’s Public Health and Safety Act (H.R. 3495).
Health- On September 30, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee passed, by voice vote, the Protecting Our Infants Act (S. 799).
Budget- On September 29, the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved, 28-23, recommendations that would impose a one-year moratorium on federal payments to entities that perform abortions.
Abortion- On September 29, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held a hearing, “Planned Parenthood’s Taxpayer Funding.”
International- On September 30, the House Agriculture Committee held a hearing, “U.S. International Food Aid Programs: Stakeholder Perspectives.”
