Floor Action:

Human Trafficking- This week, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, several human trafficking bills: S. 1311, the Abolishing Human Trafficking Act, S. 1312, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, S. 1532, the No Human Trafficking on our Roads Act, and S. 1536, the Combatting Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act.

Appropriations- On September 14, the House passed, 211-198, H.R. 3354, the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act.

Mark-Ups:

Family Support- On September 13, the House Ways and Means Committee approved, 22-15, H.R. 2824, the Increasing Opportunity through Evidence-Based Home Visiting Act, as amended.

Hearings:

Family Support- On September 13, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry held a hearing, “Nutrition Programs: Perspectives for the 2018 Farm Bill.”
