Human Trafficking- On November 8, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation passed, by voice vote, S. 1693, the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA), as amended.
Tax Policy- On November 9, the House Ways and Means Committee approved, 24-16, H.R. 1, the Tax Cut and Jobs Act, as amended.
Health- On November 8, the House Education and the Workforce Subcommittees on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, and Higher Education and Workforce Development held a joint hearing, “Close to Home: How Opioids are Impacting Communities.”
