This week, Senate Republicans and Democrats elected their respective party leadership for the 114th Congress. In addition, House Republicans elected their party leadership for the upcoming Congress.
Veterans- On November 13, the House Judiciary Committee approved, by voice vote, a bill (H.R. 5441) to amend the federal charter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States to reflect the service of women in the armed forces of the United States.
Miscellaneous- On November 13, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved, by unanimous consent, the National Women’s History Museum Commission Act (S. 398).
