Appropriations- On May 18, the Senate passed, 89-8, H.R. 2577, the FY2017 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Related Agencies spending bill.

On May 19, the House approved, 295-129, H.R. 4974, the FY2017 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies spending bill.

On May 18, the House approved, 241-184, H.R. 5243, the Zika Response Appropriations Act.

Appropriations- On May 19, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved, 30-0, the FY2017 Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Rural Development, and Related Agencies spending bill, as amended (as-yet-unnumbered). The Subcommittee on Agriculture, FDA, Rural Development, and Related Agencies approved the legislation by voice vote on May 17.

On May 19, the Senate Appropriations Committee passed, 30-0, the FY2017 Legislative Branch spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).
