Floor Action:

Appropriations- On March 8, the House passed, 371-48, H.R. 1301, the FY2017 defense spending bill.

Health- On March 7, the House passed, by voice vote, H.R. 1174, the Fairness for Breastfeeding Mothers Act.

International- On March 8, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 84, a resolution recognizing International Women’s Day.

Human Trafficking- On March 7, the Senate passed, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 68, a resolution raising awareness of modern slavery.

Mark-Ups:

Health- This week, the House Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce Committees approved H. Res. 154 and legislative recommendations to repeal and replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare.

Employment- On March 8, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee passed, by voice vote, H.R. 653, the Federal Intern Protection Act, and H.R. 680, the Eliminating Pornography from Agencies Act.
