Military- On June 28, the Senate Armed Services Committee approved, 27-0, the FY2018 National Defense Authorization Act (as-yet-unnumbered). Also on June 28, the House Committee on Armed Services approved, 60-1, H.R. 2810, the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2018.

Human Trafficking- On June 29, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved, as amended, S. 1312, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, and S. 1311, the Abolish Human Trafficking Act.

On June 28, the House Judiciary Committee approved, by voice vote, H.R. 2480, the Empowering Law Enforcement to Fight Sex Trafficking Demand Act.

Appropriations- On June 29, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies approved, by voice vote, the FY2018 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On June 28, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Related Agencies approved, by voice vote, the FY2018 Agriculture, FDA, Rural Development, and Related Agencies spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On June 29, the House Appropriations Committee approved, by voice vote, the FY2018 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).
