On March 15, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. Res. 76, a resolution designating March 21 as “National Rosie the Riveter Day.”
The resolution, sponsored by Sen. Robert Casey (D-PA), “acknowledges the important role played by” 16 million women during World War II.
