Paycheck Fairness Act Rejected in Senate

On September 15, the Senate rejected by a vote of 52-40, a motion to end debate on the Paycheck Fairness Act (S. 2199). The procedural vote, also known as cloture, requires at least 60 votes for passage. The Senate previously rejected the measure on April 9 (see The Source, 4/9/14).
