On April 20, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, S. 1252, the Global Food Security Act, as amended. The House passed its version of the measure on April 12 (see The Source, 4/15/16).
The legislation would authorize a comprehensive strategic approach for foreign assistance to developing countries, targeting especially women and children.
