House Passes Child Support Bill

On October 6, the House passed, by voice vote, the Child Support Assistance Act (H.R. 2091). The House Financial Services Committee approved the legislation on July 28 (see The Source, 7/31/15).

Sponsored by Rep. Bruce Poliquin (R-ME), the measure would authorize consumer reporting agencies to supply credit reports in response to a request by state or local child support enforcement agencies.
