House Passes Bill to Promote a 21st Century Workforce

On June 12, the House approved, by unanimous consent, H.R. 338, a bill to promote a 21st century energy and manufacturing workforce, sponsored by Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL).

Among other provisions, the measure would provide resources to minority-serving institutions in order to increase the number of women and minorities trained to enter the energy and manufacturing sector.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved the bill on June 7 (see The Source, 6/9/17).
