House Committee Examines Efforts to Protect Missing, Exploited Children

On March 16, the House Education and the Workforce Committee held a hearing, “Honoring our Commitment to Recover and Protect Missing and Exploited Children.” The hearing discussed the work being done by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and focused on improvements that could be made to protect missing children. The hearing also noted that one in six runaway children were likely to be victims of sex trafficking.
