Floor Action:

The Senate is scheduled to consider S. 2613, the Adam Walsh Reauthorization Act, and S. 2814, the FY2017 National Defense Authorization Act.

Mark-Ups:

Appropriations- On Tuesday, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense will mark up the FY2017 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

The House Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2017 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (as-yet-unnumbered), and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (as-yet-unnumbered) spending bills.

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government will mark up the FY2017 Financial Services and General Government spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

On Thursday, the Senate Appropriations Committee will mark up the FY2017 Defense spending bill (as-yet-unnumbered).

Family Support- On Tuesday, the House Ways and Means Committee will mark up H.R. 2952, the Improving Employment Outcomes of TANF Recipients Act.

Employment- On Wednesday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will mark up S. 2480, the Federal Intern Protection Act.

Miscellaneous- Also on Wednesday, the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee will mark up H.R. 3735, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service in Winston Salem, North Carolina, as the “Maya Angelou Memorial Post Office.”

International- On Thursday, the House Foreign Affairs Committee will mark up S. 1635, the Department of State Operations Authorization and Embassy Security Act.

Hearings:

Veterans- On Tuesday, the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on several bills, including S. 2520, the Newborn Care Improvement Act, and S. 2487, the Female Veteran Suicide Prevention Act.
