Congressional Schedule: December 4-8, 2017

Floor Action:

Reproductive Health- On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3317, the Stopping Abusive Female Exploitation Act.

International- On Tuesday, the House is scheduled to consider H. Con. Res. 90, a resolution condemning ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya and calling for an end to the attacks in, and an immediate restoration of humanitarian access to, the state of Rakhine in Burma.

Appropriations- This week, the House is likely to consider legislation making continuing appropriations for FY2018.

Mark Ups:

Violence Against Women- On Wednesday, the Senate Indian Affairs Committee will mark up several bills, including S. 1870, the Securing Urgent Resources Vital to Indian Victim Empowerment Act.

Hearings:

Employment- On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions will hold a hearing, “Workplace Leave Policies: Opportunities and Challenges for Employers and Working Families.”

On Thursday, the House Committee on House Administration will hold a hearing, “Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Congressional Workplace: Examining Reforms to the Congressional Accountability Act.”

Miscellaneous- On Thursday, the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands will hold a hearing on several bills, including H.R. 805, the Tulare Youth Recreation and Women’s History Enhancement Act.
